14 shops from decades past that Sheffield people wish would return in 2025.
We believe that Sheffield has always been a great location to shop, and we asked our readers to recall their favourite stores from decades ago.
We asked which shops that had subsequently closed would they like to see return to the city core today.

Readers mentioned well-known stores including John Lewis, Woolworth’s, and BHS, as well as Pollard’s, Wilson Peck, and Beatties. Do you remember going to these stores back in the day? We’d love to hear about the other shops you think Sheffield should have by 2025.
