The street in Coventry where locals are fed-up with parking issues.

Locals in Coventry have expressed frustration about parking challenges on a main street. Their worries prompted Foleshill cops to take action on Red Lane.

“Officers have been addressing parking issues in the area and patrolling Red Lane in response to resident concerns about parking,” the local policing team said. “Numerous drivers have been spoken to and advised on their parking habits, one further ticket was issued to an unattended vehicle.”

The news was part of the team’s most recent community report, which also detailed the other areas they patrolled over the previous week.

“Officers have been out in force this week in our mobile police community van, officers visited several locations in and around Foleshill including Gallagher retail park, Edgwick park and Culworth Court,” the team said.

“Officers interacted with lots of residents and families and had some valuable intelligence and made good connection within the community.”

They want to know about the issues that affect the local community. They’re throwing two ‘cuppa with a copper’ parties.

Both events will take place at Foleshill Library, with the first on Thursday, March 5 from 5.15pm to 6pm and the second on Tuesday, March 31 at the same time.
