Weekend warning to yobs as Cleveland Police secure dispersal order for town centre, Marina and Church Street areas.
This weekend, police obtained expanded legal powers to crack down on “a recent spate of anti-social behaviour.”
Anyone engaging in ASB in Hartlepool’s Marina, town centre, and Church Street districts faces arrest if they do not fully comply with a request to leave.
The dispersion order was issued in response to recent disturbances near the Marina.
Cleveland Police issued a statement on Friday afternoon: “The order is in place for 48 hours – from 4pm on Friday, 20th February to 4pm on Sunday, 22nd February – and anyone involved in anti-social behaviour in the designated zone can be asked to leave the area immediately.
