Cannabis farm found in Dundee after ‘significant’ fire.

The fire broke out in a flat on Panmure Street soon before 10.30 p.m. A cannabis farm was uncovered in Dundee’s city centre after firefighters spent three hours putting out a flat fire.

A fire broke out in a property on Panmure Street shortly before 10.30 p.m.

It was initially reported that a fire had broken out in a restaurant kitchen. Police later confirmed that the fire occurred in a flat.

The incident was assessed as “significant” by a Scottish incident and Rescue Service official. It is unclear whether any injuries occurred.

Sarah Williamson, a Courier reporter, was at the incident on Panmure Street Wednesday morning. She claimed there were no traces of fire damage on the roadway.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “On Tuesday evening, a cannabis cultivation was located within a flat on Panmure Street in Dundee. “Enquiries are ongoing into this recovery.”

Earlier, an SFRS spokesperson stated: “We received a call at 10.23pm reporting a fire in the kitchen of a takeaway restaurant on Panmure Street.” “We dispatched two fire trucks from Blackness Road to the scene.”

 

Firefighters used one hose reel jet, one safety jet, four breathing apparatus, and one thermal imaging camera to combat the fire.” “We left the scene at 1.30am.”
