Woman charged with child cruelty after Leeds girl dies.

The 54-year-old will appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court. A Leeds lady has been charged with child cruelty following the death of a girl.

Holly Walton, 16, died on Christmas Day 2022 of a medical problem. Mandy Walton, 54, is scheduled to appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on March 6.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson stated: “A Leeds woman is scheduled to appear before magistrates next month charged with child negligence.

Mandy Walton, 54, of Asquith Drive Morley, will appear in Leeds Magistrates’ Court on March 6 accused with child cruelty.

“The offence is believed to have occurred elsewhere in the Leeds area between December 2017 and June 2022. It is about a girl who passed away in December 2022 due to a medical problem.
