The top 10 most complained about streets in Bexley.

A Bexley street received almost 200 complaints in a single year.

Between January 2025 and January 2026, there were more than 200 complaints regarding Bellegrove Road in Welling.

The road, which runs from Welling High Street to Upper Wickham Lane, is a major thoroughfare through the town and is lined with shops, houses, and local businesses.

A Freedom of Information (FOI) request filed by the News Shopper reveals the top 10 streets in the borough that were most affected. North Cray Road in Sidcup ranks second with 176 complaints.

Welling’s Hook Lane comes in third with 156 complaints.Pickford Lane in Bexleyheath, with 154 complaints, ranks fourth.

Perry Street in Crayford ranked fifth, with 125 complaints.

Upper Wickham Lane, also in Welling, is toward the bottom of the list, with just under 120 complaints. Broadway in Bexleyheath had 113 complaints and finished in sixth place.

Mayplace Road East in Bexleyheath and Old Farm Avenue in Sidcup are equal for eighth place, with 103 complaints each.

Halfway Street in Sidcup is at the bottom of the list, having received 101 complaints. The request was made in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act of 2000.

The complaints were filed by members of the public, but the council claims they are not formal complaints.

The FOI report does not disclose the grounds for the complaints.
