No hiding place, says Bantams skipper Power

No hiding place, says Bantams skipper Power.

Bradford City captain Max Power believes the club’s players are aware that their poor away form is jeopardising the Bantams’ chances of a second consecutive promotion.

Bradford’s stoppage-time defeat at play-off rivals Reading, with two goals conceded in the final eight minutes, means they have only won one of their last eight away games.

They remain fourth in the play-offs, but the distance to seventh-place Reading is now seven points.

Power told BBC Radio Leeds: “In recent away games, we’ve let ourselves down by not playing.

At Reading, we had a fantastic away performance for 89 minutes, similar to how we play at home.

If we can maintain this level of performance away from home until the conclusion of the season, we will win more points than lose.

Bradford’s troubles on the road are in sharp contrast to their performance at Valley Parade.

Since their promotion, they have won 13 of their 17 home games, which is tied for second in the division behind leaders Cardiff.

Power, three-time League Bradford’s first signing following their return to the third tier was one-time Wigan title winner, who joined in May 2025.

“There’s 12 games to go,” Power added.”We haven’t paid much attention to the table. It’s easy to become caught up in that. We know what we need to do.

“Let’s keep looking; there are no hiding places in football.” “We’ll be into single-digit games before you know it, and we’ll come to the end of the season.” We can only search for ways to improve.

This month, the Bantams will host Leyton Orient, Mansfield Town, and Plymouth Argyle, as well as three teams currently in the bottom eight: Port Vale, Wigan, and Burton Albion.
