Danny Harrigan accepts new role at QPR.
QPR can confirm that Danny Harrigan has left his post as Women’s Head Coach to work with the club’s academy.
Harrigan, who has been with QPR for 15 years in our women’s and girls’ provision and Community Trust, will transfer to the academy as the club seeks to use his experience in preparation for our Category 1 application.Danny was named the head coach of QPR Women in 2024.
CEO Christian Nourry stated, “Danny’s knowledge is apparent, and as a club, we want to best exploit it in line with our ambitions to maintain a Category 1 academy.
“Danny is an important member of QPR who understands our club’s overall goals, and we believe his strengths will be extremely valuable in our efforts to achieve Cat 1 status.”

“It is an exciting time for all aspects of the football club, especially the women’s team, as we strive to move up the pyramid. “The search is already underway for Danny’s successor to help us achieve that.”
Harrigan added: “QPR has been such an important part of my life, and I want to thank the club for providing me the opportunity to be a part of the academy’s very bright future.
“It has also given me great joy to be our first women’s head coach as we aim to achieve the third tier of the pyramid.
“While I will now be serving the club in a different role, I will still be the girls’ biggest supporter.”
More information on Danny’s successor as Women’s head coach will be announced in due course.
