Police called to attack outside Dundee Taco Bell restaurant
Officers responded to a ‘disturbance’ on Reform Street on Saturday evening. On Saturday night, police responded to an attack outside Taco Bell in Dundee.
Officers were seen entering the Reform Street restaurant shortly before 7.30pm after responding to a ‘disturbance’ call.
As police investigated the incident, a customer inside the premises complained to several officers. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the incident.
Witness tells Courier of police presence at Dundee Taco Bell
One man told The Courier that he witnessed at least three officers enter the Tex-Mex chain as part of the investigation. He stated: “The police arrived on the scene with some urgency.
“I heard shouting inside the building as one male spoke to the cops. “He was enraged over whatever had happened. “There was a lot going on as the restaurant appeared to be quite busy.” Police Scotland confirmed that the investigation into the assault is ongoing.
A spokesperson stated: “Around 7.25pm on Saturday, August 2, officers received a report of a disturbance and assault on Reform Street in Dundee.
“Enquiries are ongoing.” Taco Bell has been approached for comment.
