Dave Moore honoured with lifetime Watford season ticket.
Watford have presented legendary programme seller Dave Moore with a lifetime season ticket in recognition of his more than three decades of service to the club.
Dave, a familiar face – and voice – to supporters thanks to his call of “Programmes!” outside and inside Vicarage Road, will no longer represent the club on matchdays after programme production was halted this summer.
The Hornets paid tribute to his efforts by presenting him with the gift, which came with a signed letter from chairman Scott Duxbury.
Following several years of service, the remaining 13 programme sellers will each receive a complimentary season ticket for the 2025/26 season in either the Rookery or Lower Graham Taylor stand.

Dave would make fortnightly visits to local care homes in Rickmansworth and Maple Cross, brightening the residents’ days while raising over £500 for the foundation through the sale of £1 lottery tickets.
Duxbury stated, “To serve this great club for more than 30 years, in all weather conditions, demonstrates Dave’s dedication, loyalty, and love for the club.
“People like Dave make Watford FC what it is. On behalf of Gino, myself, and everyone at the club, we thank Dave and the other programme sellers for their exceptional service.”
Mary Davies, the head of programme sales, added that Dave’s character would be missed by many on matchday.

“Dave was often the first person supporters met or heard on their way into the ground with his shout of, “Programmes”. I am confident that a part of their matchday tradition will be missed.”
The club decided to stop producing matchday programmes after sales continued to fall last season, reaching as low as 455 for a visit to Swansea City in March and peaking at only 1,045 for the derby victory over Luton Town.
It is understood that team sheets and Junior Hornets booklets will remain available on matchdays for fans who want to take home a souvenir.
