Watford electronic scoreboard first used in Wolves friendly.
Watford won back-to-back promotions to Division Two in 1978/79, but preparations for the season ended 47 years ago this month with a friendly against Wolves at home.
The game ended in a 2-0 defeat, but the 5,226 fans at Vicarage Road on Tuesday, August 8, 1978 witnessed the debut of the club’s new electronic scoreboard.
