Southampton’s £10million bid for Premier League winger rejected amid Tyler Dibling replacement search.

Southampton’s transfer business isn’t over, and EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that the Saints have launched a £10 million bid for a Premier League winger.

Will Still is looking for reinforcements in several areas of his squad before the transfer window closes, including another striker. This is despite the Saints signing Damion Downs for £7 million earlier this summer.

Tyler Dibling, a versatile winger, is the latest player to leave, signing for Everton on Monday for £35 million plus £5 million in add-ons.

Southampton have already begun looking for replacements for him, and EFL Analysis understands that a bid for a new winger with extensive English Football League experience has been rejected.

Exclusive: Crystal Palace reject £10million bid for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi

According to EFL Analysis’ Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, Crystal Palace have rejected Southampton’s £10 million bid for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

He would be an ideal replacement for Dibling, and Bailey believes the Saints will make another offer for the winger. Rak-Sakyi, a former Chelsea and Crystal Palace youth player, has had two senior loan spells since 2022.

He spent a season in League One with Palace’s London rivals Charlton before joining Championship side Sheffield United last season. He scored seven goals in 36 appearances for the Blades as they advanced to the play-off final.

The 22-year-old is currently surplus to requirements at Selhurst Park, having failed to appear off the bench against Chelsea in the Premier League or against Fredrikstad in the Europa Conference League qualifiers, and would benefit from another loan to gain game experience.

Will Still has plenty of business to do before the transfer window shuts

Southampton announced the signing of backup custodian George Long on Monday, but the club still has a lot of work to do this summer.

The Saints are still interested in Finn Azaz, who was the subject of a rejected bid, according to Middlesbrough manager Rob Edwards.

The only other additions so far have been Joshua Quarshie, Mads Roerslev, and Downs. Still has recently admitted that transfers are still in the works, and the 2-1 loss to Stoke will have highlighted the need for them even more.
