Supermarket manager chipped Mosh punter’s teeth when he punched him.
The victim had to visit the hospital and missed time at university. A shop manager attacked a student during a nightclub scuffle, leaving him with chipped teeth.
Brandon Creasy, Iceland’s duty manager, was at the Mosh nightclub in St Nicholas Place, Leicester city centre, on Thursday, May 18. His victim approached him because one of Creasy’s pals had repeatedly barged into the student and he wanted Creasy to stop him.
Creasy, 21, of Limehurst Road, Netherhall, Leicester, shoved the student before throwing a blow that chipped three of his teeth, injured his eye, and left him with scrapes and bruises on his face.
He pleaded guilty to assault causing real bodily harm in Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (October 8).
Prosecutor Lottie Tyler gave a victim statement from the victim, who was forced to miss two weeks of university owing to her injuries.
In it, he stated, “I had to go to the hospital to get my eye checked out and the cuts closed.” I had a ten-hour wait. “The swelling, wounds, and chipped teeth caused me to miss university.
It resulted in lasting scars and three chipped teeth, not to mention the psychological trauma.” Hannah Spicer-Short, representing Creasy, who had no prior convictions, stated:
“He had gone out with friends for the evening and was at the Mosh nightclub when his friend ran into the complaint. “He stated that the complainant was quite aggressive towards him and was being held back by his own friends.” The complainant pushed Mr Creasy.
“They argued, punches were thrown, and the bouncers intervened. He later apologised to the complaint. “He wishes he’d walked away. He is terrified to be here today; this is an eye-opening event he does not wish to repeat.”
District Judge Rahim Allen-Khimini said he saw the CCTV footage of the attack and determined that both guys were engaged.
However, he stated that the fact that the student caused serious injury outweighed that element, and that Creasy merited a suspended prison sentence.
He said, “This was a foolish moment.” That punch resulted in serious injuries. “The dancefloor was busy, yet there was space for you and your companions to move away. “I do not believe it was planned.
You have just seen crimson mist. That has resulted in you appearing in court today, facing a prison sentence.”
Creasy received a 20-week sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was sentenced to pay £500 as compensation to the victim. He told Creasy, “I don’t want to see you back in court again.”
