The fast-food chain has submitted plans to the council for a new drive-thru restaurant near Dundee Airport.

McDonald’s said the new location will produce up to 100 new employment. Before settling on Riverside Avenue, the restaurant company considered several other locations.

Before development can commence, the outlet must first obtain planning authorisation.

New plans to convert the former Reading Rooms nightclub, also known as St Roque’s Library, into a boutique restaurant have emerged.

The designs are part of a larger vision for the Blackscroft neighbourhood, which includes additional dwellings. However, the ideas have yet to be examined, so the inauguration of a new restaurant is a long way off.
