Blackburn Rovers’ transfer fruits starting to bare.
After a period of adjustment, Ryoya Morishita is beginning to demonstrate his abilities as a Blackburn Rovers player.
The Japanese international’s tenure at Ewood Park had a rough start, but in recent games, he has shown greater consistency.
He was originally sidelined by the switch to 3-5-2, but he has settled in as a right-sided number eight and gets along well with teammates.
Goal contributions have been followed by game-winning assists against Preston North End and Bristol City.
Morishita was just summed up in the game on Friday. In the first half hour of the physical combat, he was thrown around.
But he recovered and demonstrated his abilities, especially in the second half. Morishita believes he has advanced as well. Todd Cantwell’s absence has required his inventiveness.
“On the pitch, there are both positive and challenging moments, but the supporters never stop encouraging us.
They greatly assist us,” Morishita remarked. “They are very direct with their football, and we have to respond to this football, so it was a little challenging in the first half, especially in the first half.
However, we have our pace and performance in the second half. It’s great to be back.
“I played a little bit better in the last two or three games because my body shape has improved. It’s good now that I’ve adjusted to English football.
However, I had some difficulty with English football over the first four or five games. I’ve merely adjusted now that I know what Blackman Rovers’ style is.”

Morishita’s deep free kick set up Andri Gudjohnsen’s winning header at Deepdale. It was a routine they had worked on during training, but it had been frustrating for him.
“This is what we had planned yesterday. Andi was excellent in the role for which we needed him,” he explained. “Thank you to the crew and Andri.
To be honest, I struggled with this style of ball yesterday. Last night, I was thinking a lot about this free kick. But I’m glad, eventually, that I kicked well and that we won.”
Rovers were supported by 5,000 fans at Deepdale, and their efforts were rewarded with five victories.
It is at Ewood Park where Ismael’s team has battled most. Morishita hopes Rovers can improve with five of their next seven games at home, including Wednesday night’s match against Queens Park Rangers.
“It’s just happiness, because our fans always come to the stadium and cheer us up. We want to answer to them with a good result. Today we achieved it, so I’m very happy,” said the footballer.
“But the next game is at home, and we struggled a little there, so I want to put on a good show and give them a good win.”
“Today, when I arrived here, I saw a lot of fans coming to the stadium, so it was a good atmosphere to play. It was an amazing experience. Thank you to our fans.
“When I play well and when we play well, our fans and the opponent fans are screaming a little bit. Then it’s a great feeling, what an emotion. This is a very good place to play for the players, so yes, I cannot forget this experience.”
