Retail giant M&S reveals it is looking to open new Hartlepool store.
Marks & Spencer has stated that it intends to open a new Hartlepool shop.
The town is one of 500 target sites where the corporation plans to open new or larger food outlets.
Hartlepool is currently home to an M&S food store at Anchor Retail Park.
The company “is particularly looking for large sites that could stock the full range of M&S food” and seeks premises of approximately 18,000 square feet.
“With more than 20 stores opening or modernised before the end of the financial year, we are moving faster.”
Our team is looking for additional locations where we can open a major M&S Food store to deliver on our objective of bringing the right shops to the right areas and providing the best shopping experience, choice, and availability for our customers.”
Hartlepool’s major M&S shop, located in the town’s Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, closed more than ten years ago in 2014.
