The greeting card company intends to move into the former Scott Brothers location on Brook Street.
Card Factory could open a new location in the heart of Broughty Ferry.
The business has submitted a planning application to Dundee City Council for signage at the former Scott Brothers butcher shop on Brook Street.
In March, the family-run butcher moved to the Clydesdale Bank building on the junction of Brook and Grey streets.
A building warrant for £35,000 in internal renovations to the former Scott Brothers property has already been approved.
Card Factory plans third Dundee shop in Broughty Ferry
The greeting card business already has two locations in Dundee: one on Murraygate in the city centre and one between Home Bargains and Aldi in Myrekirk.
Dundee City Council will explore the proposals in the coming weeks. It comes after luxury clothing retailer Flannels launched a new location in the Overgate Shopping Centre.
The Frasers Group-owned outlet debuted on the center’s upper floor on November 27.
