Lewes auction house Wallis & Wallis on sale for £1.2m

Lewes auction house Wallis & Wallis on sale for £1.2m.

A striking former auction house has sold for £1,200,000. The building on West Street in Lewes was formerly the Co-op Dairy before becoming Wallace & Wallace Auction House.

Charles Wycherley, estate brokers, have listed the property for sale, emphasising its “period charm” and “extensive development potential”.

The auction house has two galleried showrooms with unique staircases, offices with vaulted ceilings, appealing bay windows, and, most importantly, a remarkable clock tower that adds to its uniqueness.
