Xplore Dundee confirms Christmas bus timetable changes.

Find out what time you can take a bus in Dundee over the holidays.

Xplore Dundee has published the city’s bus service Christmas timetable 2025/2026. A number of modifications have been revealed for the festive season.

There will also be adjustments to the final buses on the Fly route between Dundee and Edinburgh Airport.

The temporary alterations to Xplore Dundee’s services throughout the festive period are as follows:

  • Christmas Eve: Most Xplore Dundee buses will run on a Saturday schedule, with earlier finishes. The last Fly services will depart Dundee at 10.30 p.m. and Edinburgh Airport at midnight on Christmas Day.
  • Christmas Day: No buses will operate.
  • Boxing Day: Most buses will operate on a Saturday timetable. A normal Fly service will resume from Dundee at 2.15am and Edinburgh Airport at 3.45am.

 

  • December 27: Most buses will operate on a Saturday timetable. A normal service will continue on Fly services until Hogmanay.
  • December 28: Most buses will operate on a Sunday timetable.
  • December 29-30: Normal services will be resumed.

 

  • Hogmanay: Most buses will run on Saturdays, with earlier finishes. Fly flights will operate normally until the last service from Dundee at 7.30pm and Edinburgh Airport at 9pm.

 

  • New Year’s Day: No buses will operate.
  • January 2: Most buses will operate to a Sunday timetable. Fly buses will operate as normal after the 12am service from Dundee and the 1.30am service from Edinburgh Airport.
  • January 3: Normal services will be resumed.

The full Xplore Dundee timetable is available on the operator’s website. Customer support will also be closed on Christmas, Boxing Day, December 28, New Year’s Day, and January 2nd.

It comes after Stagecoach East Scotland announced their Christmas schedule for services in Dundee, Angus, Perth and Kinross, and Fife.
