A Wander Around the Norwich Lanes at Night.

Nighttime can be a good time to explore.

It never ceases to amaze me how different a place may appear at night vs during the day.The Norwich Lanes are an excellent mix of old and new.

Modern enterprises abound, with many housed in lovely ancient buildings. Most of the lanes are pedestrianised.

We are extremely fortunate to have so many independent shops and eateries in Norwich.

Thorns is one of my favourite shops. It is a hardware store where you may find almost anything you need. The personnel are quite helpful.

Hugh Jackman has dined at the Waffle House, shown below. I’m delighted to say he also supports our football club.

The Grosvenor Fish Bar is now celebrating 100 years in operation. I can personally attest to the fact that they provide wonderful fish and chips. Excellent window display as well.

One of the many things I enjoy about night photography is being able to see things through upstairs windows. A poster of a lady laughing hangs just over the Lower Goat Lane street sign.

There are two Goat Lanes: Upper and Lower. They are named after a 17th-century bar that operated here until 1861.

While the cupcakes aren’t visible at night, I appreciated the Halloween decorations.
