In a League of Ireland record sale, Arsenal is expected to acquire Shamrock Rovers player Victor Ozhianvuna.
After turning 18, in January 2027, 16-year-old Ozhianvuna is scheduled to sign a pre-contract agreement and join the Gunners.

The terms of his four-and-a-half-year contract will likely be revealed later this week.
According to Irish reports, the sum was €2 million (£1.73 million), surpassing the previous record set earlier this year when Mason Melia moved from St Patrick’s Athletic to Tottenham for £1.5 million.
Despite his young age, Ozhianvuna, who was born in Tallaght, made his Rovers first team debut in February and scored in the FAI Cup in July.
Earlier this year, he played for the Irish national team in friendlies against Norway, Croatia, and Turkey as a member of the under-18 squad.
In 2023, he beat a team that included Max Dowman in an academy event held at the Gunners’ Colney training facility, attracting the attention of Arsenal scouts.
The midfielder visited the Gunners’ training facility and met with Per Mertesacker, who currently oversees the team’s academy, before deciding to sign with the Gunners despite interest from Belgian team Club Brugge.
Ozhianvuna is regarded as a flexible midfield and offensive option. He prefers to play on the left and has a right foot.
The action comes after Arsenal pushed to increase their hiring in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. In the upcoming years, they want to establish themselves as a top location for up-and-coming Irish talent.
With recent seasons seeing graduates like Bukayo Saka, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Ethan Nwaneri establish themselves as first-team regulars, the club’s academy is already known as one of the best in the Premier League.
