Becketts on Dereham Road in Norwich is up for sale.
A military surplus store that has been in operation since the 1970s is on the market. Becketts, which sells apparel and outdoor goods on Dereham Road, has been listed for sale.
The agency, Ernest Wilson and Co, characterises the business as follows: “A long-standing local specialist, it trades from its established shop while operating a strong direct-to-consumer website that now drives most sales.”
“Trading as a Military, Country and Adventure store since the 1970s, the business has grown into a national stockist for specialist outdoor and military lines.” They said that around 65 percent of sales are made online.

The new owner would take over both the retail and the internet platform.
The agency also describes recent accounts that indicate an annual turnover of more than £300,000 and an adjusted net profit of £31,551.
Ernest Wilson and Co. further stated that the business may be developed through additional online trade. The representative responded:
“There is substantial scope for further growth, as the company does not currently trade on marketplaces such as eBay or Amazon.”
