Berkeley unveils new Quarter Yards neighbourhood in Southall.
Berkeley Group, a property developer, has launched the next phase of its multibillion-pound transformation of Southall, with the unveiling of Quarter Yards, an 8.9-acre area within The Green Quarter, the company’s flagship 88-acre development.
Quarter Yards, located close to Southall station, will serve as a new gateway to the Elizabeth line, taking inhabitants to Paddington in 13 minutes and Heathrow Airport in 10.
The project seeks to build a new town centre with 105,000 square feet of area for stores, cafés, restaurants, and flexible offices.
The new phase is centred on Brickfields, a collection of 59 studios, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments inspired by Southall’s 19th-century brickmaking background.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with the first residences completed in late 2027. Prices will start at £385,000.
Residents will have access to a botanical garden, two private cinemas, co-working spaces, a virtual golf suite, a children’s playground, and a health centre with a gym, pool, sauna, and steam room.
Marcus Blake, managing director of St George PLC, stated, “Quarter Yards marks the next chapter for The Green Quarter, introducing a beautifully designed collection of homes just moments from the Elizabeth Line.”
