A former bar in Bexleyheath has undergone suggested renovations, according to a plan submitted to Bexley Council.

In its latter years, the Royal Standard on Lion Road went by the name Celebrations. It went up for auction in 2022.

In October 2023, plans to enlarge and convert parts of the structure into five flats were approved.

As part of that choice, the ground floor would be for the community.

An application has now been developed to expand its use to encompass medicinal purposes. Hopes for a pub to return appear to be dashed, with “Wellbeing Within Space” requesting approval.
