Blackburn and Clitheroe trains delayed and cancelled.
Trains in Blackburn and Clitheroe have been delayed and cancelled this morning (September 22).
This is due to a malfunction in the signalling system connecting the two towns, which has resulted in the train line being stopped.
Northern Railways has announced that train services via these stations will be cancelled and delayed. If your train is delayed for 15 minutes or more, you can seek reimbursement if you keep your ticket.
According to a Northern representative, the line between Blackburn and Clitheroe is currently stopped due to a signalling system problem.
“Train services that pass through these stations will be cancelled or delayed. “Please take the next available Northern train or visit www.northernrailway.co.uk for alternative choices and additional information during times of disruption.
