Boy, 16, stabbed to death and second of the same age arrested for murder.
At a train station in East Sussex, a 16-year-old kid was fatally stabbed.
Around 5 p.m. today, after school had let out, the event took place at Seaford.
People from the Steamworks pub, which is directly across from the station, hurried to assist the victim, who was reportedly “not in a good way.”
The boy was found with a significant injury consistent with being stabbed when Sussex Police and paramedics arrived.
Despite the greatest efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the site. His family has been notified.
A second youngster of the same age was detained on suspicion of murder and is currently in detention.
Enquiries are now underway to determine the full circumstances of what occurred.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Stanley said: ‘This is a shocking incident which has resulted in the tragic loss of a young man this evening.
The investigation is still in its early stages, and the station will remain closed while we conduct further investigations in the area.
‘I would urge anyone who witnesses what happened or the events leading up to it to contact us because you may have critical information that might help our investigation.’
The stabbing resulted in the closure of Seaford Railway Station as cops stayed on the scene.
National Rail later announced that no trains will operate between Newhaven Harbour and Seaford until the end of the day.
