Bradford City: Neufville and Alexander in running for awards.

JOSH Neufville is in contention for League One Player of the Month for September. Graham Alexander is also on the four-man shortlist for the manager’s award.

The double nomination recognises City’s continuous outstanding performance in the third division, with the winners set to be announced on Friday morning.

Neufville has been a revelation at right wing-back for the Bantams, scoring in three straight games to propel them to the top of the league.

He faces former Bantam Devante Cole of Port Vale, Reading’s Jack Marriott, and Stevenage midfielder Harvey White.

Alexander is in the hunt for manager of the month after winning games against promotion contenders Huddersfield and Cardiff, scoring three goals apiece.

He is up against Lincoln’s Michael Skubala, who was scheduled to visit the University of Bradford Stadium this weekend, Port Vale’s former Bantam Darren Moore, and Plymouth’s Bradford-born Tom Cleverley.
