Bristol City will begin another hectic week of Championship action this afternoon when they travel to the Bet365 Stadium to play Stoke City in an attempt to win four straight games after having a blank midweek to celebrate, relax, and recuperate. When asked if players like Harry Cornick, Joe Williams, Jason Knight, and Max Bird would be prepared to return this weekend, the head coach simply said, “No.” Despite his insistence that these players are working hard to regain full health, Emil Riis, who was not risked against Chris Davies’ team the previous time out, is once again fit and ready for selection, according to the Reds camp, which was one encouraging bit of injury news before to the game. We’ll have to wait and watch if he is immediately pushed back into the fold.
