Centenary Way: Tragedy as man, 30, dies in hospital following crash on Rotherham road.

A 30-year-old man died after suffering a medical episode behind the wheel in a crash on a major Rotherham road yesterday.

Officers were dispatched to Centenary Way at 7.25 a.m. on Wednesday (November 19), following a serious collision between College Road roundabout and Ickles Island roundabout.

A white Toyota Prius Alpha and a grey Audi A4 were engaged in a crash, causing serious delays for several hours.

Today (November 20), South Yorkshire Police confirmed that a man had tragically died as a result. It is believed that the man had a medical episode at the wheel previous to the crash. A spokeswoman explained:

“At 7.25am on Wednesday, we received reports of a road traffic collision on Centenary Way, Rotherham.” A 30-year-old guy was rushed to the hospital, where he unfortunately perished.

His family is being assisted by cops.”
