Chicken shop in Edgware handed one-star food hygiene rating.

A renowned Edgware eatery has been warned it needs to make significant improvements following a recent food hygiene inspection.

Chicken City, located at 189 Burnt Oak Broadway, received a 1 out of 5 rating from the London Borough of Harrow following an inspection on September 12, 2025.

The poor ranking indicates that significant improvement is required, according to the Food Standards Agency study.

Inspectors determined that, while the shop’s structural compliance was usually satisfactory, food hygiene and safety, as well as managerial confidence, need significant improvement.

Harrow Online called Chicken City for comment.
