Coventry tower block next to a police station plagued by street drinking and antisocial behaviour.
Residents have expressed worry about street drinking and disruptive behaviour (ASB) in and around a Coventry apartment tower.
Falkener House, off Stoney Stanton Road, can be visible for miles around the city and is located across the street from a police station.
Officers from the Foleshill neighbourhood policing team have disclosed that addressing bad conduct at the location is a top priority following continuous complaints from residents.
To address the issue, a variety of techniques are being used, including regular patrols by local cops in and around Falkener House to dissuade ASB and identify people who violate local Public Space Protection Orders.
Alcohol has been confiscated, and enforcement action has been taken against those seen drinking within the PSPO area.
Officers have also collaborated with housing officers to secure entry points and prevent unlawful access to the block, as well as engage with vulnerable residents to assess their well-being and refer them to support and outreach services as needed.
