Drivers face three weeks of lane closures on busy Dundee city centre road for SSEN works.

SSEN will be working at South Marketgait, at the East Marketgait junction, for three weeks beginning January 15.

Drivers will face three weeks of lane restrictions on a popular Dundee road while underground electric cables are upgraded.

SSEN intends to work on the South Marketgait from January 15 to February 4.

During the repair, the westbound road to the Tay Road Bridge will be reduced to one lane between East Marketgait and South Dock Street.

The route from South Marketgait to Camperdown Street at City Quay will also be closed.

Throughout construction, a detour route will be prominently designated.

SSEN Distribution will upgrade underground power wires in South Marketgait to accommodate rising demand and ensure a safe and dependable supply.
