Durham Constabulary confirm motorist, 41, died after early hours collision with wall in Thornley.

A motorist died when his automobile struck with a wall.

The 41-year-old guy was seriously injured and died at the scene of the crash in Thornley village early Sunday morning.

Durham Constabulary stated, “Police were called at 1.40am on Sunday morning, December 21, after a vehicle collided with a property on Hartlepool Street, B1279.

“The 41-year-old driver suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.”

“No one else was wounded in the incident.”Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage of the vehicles prior to the incident.”

A representative for the North East Ambulance Service said two emergency ambulances, a doctor, and a clinical team leader were deployed after receiving a 999 call at 1.44 a.m.

on Sunday reporting a vehicle hitting with a wall. Anyone with information should call police at the 101 hotline.
