Eddie Howe’s post-match comment is so wrong about what Newcastle United need right now
Eddie Howe’s post-match assessment of Newcastle United’s current needs is completely incorrect.
Unfortunately, because of the international break, Newcastle United won’t play again until November 22. Instead of putting it on the pitch, Eddie Howe and his players are compelled to focus on their recent performance. The international break comes following another huge setback for the Magpies. Newcastle United were trounced by Brentford, bringing it three consecutive away defeats in the Premier League. They are closer to the relegation zone than the European spots at number fourteen in the standings.
Howe wishes his squad didn’t have to wait so long to react to Newcastle’s awful Premier League performance. After Newcastle United’s defeat to Brentford, Howe acknowledged that, in a perfect world, his team would play again soon. He remarked, “I think I would have preferred another game quite quickly.”
However, perhaps the time for introspection and reset is beneficial. “We’ll put in a lot of effort throughout the break. The most important thing, in my opinion, is to ensure that we stick together and are inspired for the future.
