Emergency Services Respond After Van Crashes Into Peacehaven Care Home.

Emergency services were dispatched to the intersection of Arundel Road and Cissbury Avenue in Peacehaven early this morning (Sunday) after a van ploughed through metal railings, climbed a wall, and crashed into an elderly care facility.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m., triggering a large emergency response.

The East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS), South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), and Sussex Police all responded to the scene.

Witnesses reported being startled awake by a loud bang as the vehicle smashed through the barriers and collided with the building.

It has not yet been confirmed whether anyone inside the care home or the driver was injured.

The area was cordoned off while emergency crews worked to secure the scene and assess the property’s structural damage. The Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
