Everton Edged Out At Blackburn In Second Pre-Season Test - Everton Football Club

Everton 1-0 Blackburn | Preseason highlights

There will be live streaming from Ewood Park of Everton’s preseason friendly against Blackburn Rovers, complete with commentary and score updates.

Welcome to the ECHO, where we will be providing live coverage of Everton’s second preseason match in advance of the 2025–2026 campaign.

The Blues will meet Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday in Lancashire after traveling to Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night.

Their first friendly of the summer was rusty, as was to be anticipated. However, Everton’s efforts at Wham Stadium ended in a 1-1 tie after Beto equalized with a penalty kick in the second half.

The match will provide the team’s young players another chance to prove their value to manager David Moyes. Harrison Armstrong was excellent from the beginning at Accrington, while both Isaac Heath and Justin Clarke made an impact as second-half substitutes.

Moyes’ squad should be more formidable than it was on Tuesday. Along with rookie Mark Travers, Idrissa Gueye, Jordan Pickford, and Iliman Ndiaye all returned to training this week and are anticipated to play.

Due to his ongoing vacation, Thierno Barry, who competed in the European Under-21 Championship this summer, will not be playing.

This game will also mark the debut of Everton’s new away kit, which was warmly received when it was unveiled this week.

At 3 p.m. (BST) today, Chris Beesley and Joe Thomas will be at Ewood Park for the kickoff. Keep checking back for build-up, goal updates, and live response.
