Dear Roker Report,

As a Danish/Norwegian supporter who hasn’t been to Sunderland since 2015, it appears like the city is doing lot better than it was before. In any case, it is highly merited by the great locals.

I hope and believe that I will be able to return to Sunderland periodically in the future, even if my personal position makes it difficult in the immediate term.

I have good recollections of my vacations to Sunderland between 2009 and 2015. Sunderland is a great place with kind and down-to-earth people; it is also incredibly undervalued.

In my perspective, modern Western people are very egocentric, but Sunderland stands out from many other towns in this regard — and it’s amazing to see how brilliantly Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has revived Sunderland AFC. He appears to have transformed the club into a world-class facility.

The new Brentford, but with a greater ceiling and a sizable fan base, “a proper club,” as Roy Keane has stated. in the moment, there appear to be few — if any — clubs in the world that are as good as Sunderland in growing budgets, making the most of a limited budget, and creating a fantastic club culture.

The hen and her egg. Many beneficial factors influence one another. What a transformation! I hope that the local community can make Dreyfus feel loved and happy here, so that he will want to stay for decades. Hopefully, he will wish to stay in Sunderland until he dies, as he could be one of the best things that has ever occurred to the community.

Many others, including Speakman, Régis Le Bris, Ghisolfi, Xhaka, O’Nien, Isidor, Mayenda, Mukiele, Ballard, Hume, Roefs, Reinildo, Sadiki, Diarra, Rigg, Talbi, and Harrison Jones, share this sentiment.

Phil Smith, Nick Barnes, James Copley, Jason Jones, Scott Wilson, Dom Shaw, and the staff of Roker Report.

Wonderful, competent, dedicated people — many of them here now.

Dear Roker Report,

In the midst of all the criticism and hatred directed at David Moyes, let us focus on what the Everton match is all about.

Wasn’t this the game where Jermain Defoe brought The Bradley Lowery Foundation to the forefront with donations and support from the fans — and didn’t we reciprocate by supporting them? A few social media pages have asked everyone to show solidarity for one of our own who died this week:

Anna, a really brave girl. The request is to applause at the ninth minute to commemorate the girl’s brief life.
