Fence fire spreads to home in Spinning Avenue, Blackburn.
The fire department was dispatched to a fire in Blackburn last night (August 21). Two fire engines were dispatched to Spinning Avenue around 3:30 p.m. The fire spread from the fence panels onto the property.
Crews used a variety of equipment to extinguish the fire and were present for two hours and 45 minutes. A spokesperson for the fire service stated:
“On Thursday, August 21, at 3.30pm, two fire engines from Blackburn and Darwen responded to Spinning Avenue in Blackburn. “The fire started in external fence panels and spread to the property.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one positive pressure ventilation fan, small tools, and a thermal imaging camera to put out the fire.
