Finn Signs Professional Contract

Finn Signs Professional Contract.

Tegan Finn has signed his first professional contract with the club, a three-year agreement.

Finn, one of the brightest stars in Argyle’s academy, has been a regular in Head Coach Tom Cleverley’s squad this season and has now committed his future to his hometown club.

The 17-year-old made his professional debut while still a scholar, away at Leeds United, and has since made seven more first-team appearances.

Argyle Head Coach Tom Cleverley is overjoyed to secure Finn’s future, saying: “Tegan was someone I knew before joining the club.

Wayne (Rooney) spoke highly of him and gave him his debut. “Since I’ve been here, I’ve seen firsthand the talent he has at his disposal, and it’s fantastic news for the football club that one of our key Academy products has decided to stay.

“There’s been lots of speculation around his future, and it’s not surprising because he is a very talented footballer, but it is a credit to the pathway we have at the football club that he sees his future with Argyle.”

Kevin Nancekivell, Argyle’s first-team coach, added: “Tegan has been with the football club since the age of six and has progressed through the academy.”

“I have witnessed firsthand his growth over the years and the hard work that has brought him to this point.

That doesn’t stop here, and he’ll need to work harder than ever to continue his development and make an impact on the first team.

“It is a testament to all the staff at the Academy for helping him get to this point but also a testament to Tegan himself and I look forward to working closely with him as he continues to develop over the coming years.”
