Fit-again Saito in QPR squad for Charlton game

Fit-again Saito in QPR squad for Charlton game.

Koki Saito is in QPR’s squad for Saturday’s match against Charlton. The Japanese winger returned to the club this week on a permanent basis, after spending last season on loan from Belgian team Lommel.

Saito was stretchered off on his final loan appearance due to a shoulder injury. But head coach Julien Stephan said:

“He trained normally and is well. Not an issue. “He completed a full preseason with his last club. He didn’t play any games, but he attended all of the training sessions.

Rangers will once again be without Ilias Chair and Kwame Poku.

Chair is still being assessed to determine how long he will be absent. Poku, who signed this summer, is scheduled to return to action perhaps next month.

“I spoke with the medical (staff) yesterday and today and they need to do other assessments to know exactly how long it will take before he can come back on the pitch,” Stephan told me.

“Kwame, two or three weeks, probably.”
