Freddie Potts ‘set to be given full backing’ after latest West Ham United transfer news

Throughout the summer transfer window, Graham Potter is still constructing a West Ham United team in his own vision.

Since Potter was hired, Alvarez has struggled wearing a West Ham shirt; yet, his exit might make the Hammers appear short in center-midfield.

The sale of Alvarez might allow Potts to establish a consistent starting position.

For Freddie Potts, the sale of Alvarez is probably excellent news.

Following a successful loan stint with Portsmouth the previous season, Potts is looking to make his West Ham debut.

Although the 21-year-old academy product hasn’t played in the Premier League yet, he has shown promise in the preseason friendlies this summer.

It can be interpreted as a statement of confidence that Potts is prepared to join the first team if Alvarez is sold.
