A seven-person fatal crash occurred at a Havering train station. This week, the Recorder looks back at the history of Gidea Park Station, which opened over a century ago.
According to the Great Eastern Railway Magazine of January 1911, planning for a station in the area began in the 1850s, but the station did not legally open until December 1, 1910.
