Great Yarmouth seafront car park improvement work carried out.
A beachfront parking park has been given a special makeover to make it more “attractive and welcoming” for everyone.
The Marina parking park in Great Yarmouth has undergone a number of renovations in recent weeks.
Planting work at the beachside car park has been finished in two parts, “helping to create a more attractive and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy,” according to Great Yarmouth Borough Council.
The council stated that the project began with the removal of old soil with low nutritional value, which occurred during the first stage of work.

It was replaced with fresh, nutrient-rich topsoil, and fencing was installed around the beds to safeguard them.
The council also stated that huge bark chips were used to give the parking park a nice, natural appearance. The second round of work began in October with planting.

According to a council official, it is “the ideal time of year to give the plants the best chance to establish and thrive.”
They continued, “A dedicated maintenance strategy is now in place to keep the beds looking their best throughout the seasons, with regular watering and pruning as part of the continuing care.
“This work forms part of our continued commitment to improving the look and feel of Great Yarmouth’s public spaces for residents and visitors alike.”
