Hartlepool Borough Council announces free car parking in run up to Christmas

Hartlepool Borough Council announces free car parking in run up to Christmas.

Shoppers in Hartlepool can once again take advantage of free parking during the Christmas season.

Hartlepool Borough Council is offering free weekend parking every Saturday in the run-up to Christmas.

Parking in all council-managed car parks and on-street pay-and-display spaces in the town centre and Seaton Carew will be free on Saturdays 6, 13, and 20, December.

The offer’s goal is to increase trade for local companies while also easing buyers’ financial burdens.

Councillor Owen Riddle, chair of the council’s Neighbourhoods and Regulatory Services Committee, stated, “Our goal is to support businesses by encouraging more people to shop locally in Hartlepool.

“Every penny that is spent here supports the local economy and helps to safeguard jobs.”

We also recognise that many people are trying to make ends meet, and we hope that this offer helps to alleviate some of their financial pressures.”
