Heartbroken dad pays tribute to Aberdeen schoolgirl who died after taking unwell in car park.

A father has talked about his grief after his young daughter passed away the day before her ninth birthday after being ill in an Aberdeen parking lot.
At approximately 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, Olivia Grace Edwards, age eight, fell ill at Kingwellspark and ride on Skene Road in Granite City.
She was transferred to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for treatment as emergency personnel raced to the scene, but she was unfortunately declared dead shortly after.
According to the Record, her distraught father, Mark Edwards, 40, declared in an online message that he would stop at nothing to “trade places” with his daughter.
He replied, “I have no easy way of saying this, but we lost our baby girl unexpectedly on Saturday.” Words can’t express how broken our family is right now. “I’d give everything to swap places with my darling girl, who would have turned nine today.
“All I can ask is if people could please be understanding at this time while we try and find a way to process this.” The Kingswells School Parent Teacher Association and Parent Council both paid tribute.
A statement read: “Our thoughts and sincerest sympathy are with Olivia’s family and friends during this extremely sad time.
“We understand that the sad news this weekend hit everyone in our community, and we grieve together.
Kathryn Campbell, a family friend, has started a GoFundMe page to help the baby girl’s parents, Mark and Georgina, pay for her sudden funeral.
A note linked to the campaign read: “My incredible best friends have lost their precious baby girl unexpectedly only one day before her 9th birthday.
“Her parents, sisters, and friends are all devastated. Olivia was a gorgeous, hilarious, charming, and amazing little girl who will be much missed by everyone who knew her.
“Please can you help take some of the stress away by donating to help give this beautiful girl the best send off.
The exact cause of Olivia’s death is unknown.

Olivia departs from her sisters, Nieve and Hollie, as well as her parents, Mark and Georgina. Since then, tributes have been flooding the internet. Claire Lumsden expressed her deep sadness for the tragic death of stunning Olivia.
I send my deepest sympathies to her friends and family during this really trying time. “Nieve and her dad’s family are genuinely devastated,” wrote Amy Simpson. Simply said, life is so harsh.
How Nieve’s father, stepmother, Holly, and Nieve are feeling right now is beyond my comprehension. lovely little girl. “It’s heartbreaking to hear this sad news,” Maureen Cowie continued. I’m thinking of you all.”
