As part of the ownership shift, they disclosed that the cafe’s name will be changed to Off The Beach.

The café opened for the first time under their management yesterday (December 1), with a 50% discount on hot drinks, cakes, pastries, breakfast, and light nibbles all day to celebrate.

In a social media video, Norman and Daniel joined the new owners in saying their final goodbyes.

Norman remarked, “First and foremost, thank you so much to everyone who has helped us and been a part of the community. It’s been a thrill for the past 13 years. “So thank you, goodbye, and welcome to the new owners.”

Daniel continued, “We’ve had an incredible time, and we know we’ve left it in good hands with these men, and we’ll be here all the time.

Best wishes, and thank you. In a statement announcing the sale, the couple wrote: “We have indeed come a long way together – through the hard times and the good…”

“… after serving over two million clients with nearly a million hot drinks, half a million ice creams, 50,000 cheesy chips, and nearly 100,000 doggy sausages, it’s time to hand over to a younger staff.”

Responding to visitors on social media, the new owners confirmed they will preserve the popular doggie sausages.

They also stated that they will continue the “community cafe vibe” established by the Big Beach team.
