Jeremy Petris believes English football suits him perfectly

Jeremy Petris believes English football suits him perfectly.

Jeremy Petris is looking forward to getting back into English football after joining Watford on transfer deadline day from Charleroi, Belgium.

Prior to joining the Belgian club in January 2024, Petris played in France, Italy, and Bulgaria before replacing Ryan Andrews with the Hornets.

Valon Behrami, assistant to the sporting director, describes him as a “offensive wing-back that is pacy and likes to make runs” – and the 27-year-old feels that he should fit into the Championship.

He told the club’s official website, “I grew up watching English football.” “It fits my style; I want to play fast and aggressively.

“English football suits me perfectly.” For me, the fans in England are the best. I’m quite curious to see what it’s like. “I have not been to the stadium yet but I am excited to go there.”

Petris claimed that conversations with head coach Paulo Pezzolano had prepared him for a probable debut against Blackburn at Vicarage Road next weekend.

He said, “I spoke with the management. He is a serious person who expects you to work hard.

“He is delighted for me to be here. “I need to prepare myself in training with the team over the next couple of weeks.”
