‘Keep an eye’ – Fabrizio Romano update on Newcastle United’s potential £69m Alexander Isak replacement
In light of the recent Alexander Isak scenario, Newcastle United is showing interest in Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson.
There are other teams interested in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson besides Newcastle United.
If the Swede gets his desire and joins Premier League winners Liverpool, the Senegalese striker is becoming a target to replace Alexander Isak, according to a report from NewcastleWorld last week.
A few weeks ago, Newcastle’s recruitment team was split on the possibility of signing Jackson, but it seems that attitude has changed as Isak has shown no remorse for trying to force his exit.
Isak has been practicing at a different time than his teammates for the past two weeks, and he has declined to participate in the Premier League opening-day tie against Aston Villa on Saturday as well as the friendlies against Atletico Madrid and Espanyol.
There are other teams interested in Nicolas Jackson besides Newcastle United.
Newcastle has refused to sell until they find a successor and Liverpool meets their reported £150 million valuation, despite the fact that the player’s position has made things more difficult. The Reds have not yet returned to the table after their £110 million offer was turned down on August 1.
While the matter is still pending, Newcastle is still evaluating the striker market and is now talking about Jackson after missing out on players like Joao Pedro, Hugo Ekitike, and Benjamin Sesko.
Other teams, like AC Milan, are also interested in Jackson, but the Serie A powerhouses would only agree to a trade for less than £69 million.
Problems with Fabrizio Romano An update on Nicolas Jackson
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted an update on his YouTube channel, stating: “Nicolas Jackson is expected to leave Chelsea.” Both the player and the organization are happy with the decision, therefore they are still searching for opportunities. Newcastle showed some interest, but no bid was made. Premier League teams are still showing some interest in having active talks with Jackson.
Remember what I told you in July? Nicholas Jackson was already on AC Milan’s list in the beginning of July, so keep an eye out for him there as well. There is still someone at AC Milan who values him as a player.
In these last two weeks, let me clarify that Milan will undoubtedly recruit a striker this summer. Rasmus Hojland is one of my loan options, along with Dusan Vlahovic, but Nicholas Jackson may also be a possibility if Milan is OK with the terms of the agreement.
“Milan will never purchase Jackson for 80 or 90 million euros. Therefore, Milan can sit at the table and pursue Jackson if all the terms of the trade are favorable. Since they haven’t found a solution since the beginning of July, Milan has been notified that Jackson may still be available on the market.
Milan is aware of the situation because so many clubs are interested but no decision has been taken yet. Nicholas Jackson is adored by Milan and regarded as a great striker, but for now, the money is the most important factor in determining whether or not it will happen.
“Thus, Jackson, Hojland, and Vlahovi are all Milan names, but Jackson in general is still a case to watch for Premier League clubs. Milan will only pay 80 million euros for Nicholas Jackson if Chelsea’s terms change.”
