Kjerrumgaard says ‘exciting’ attack can lead to more goals

Kjerrumgaard says ‘exciting’ attack can lead to more goals.

Watford’s winner against QPR Luca Kjerrumgaard is excited about Watford’s attacking potential following their first win of the season on Saturday.

Kjerrumgaard started alongside Nestory Irankunda in attack and was later joined by Kwadwo Baah, who made an impact off the bench.

With those two and others on his side, the Dane knows he will be presented with numerous opportunities.

He stated, “They are two different players, but for me, having this explosiveness is exciting, especially when they go to the backline.

“I always know that they’re really strong and one-v-one I believe they will cross it a lot of times.” It’s huge, which is great for me.

There will be a lot of balls in the box and many deliveries. “It’s a great feeling to connect with the guys in the squad – we are a big family.” Kjerrumgaard revealed that the physical differences are the most noticeable difference from his previous season in Denmark’s second tier.

The striker had a particularly difficult opening-day clash with Charlton’s back three and spoke about how he can improve that aspect of his game.

He stated, “There is a lot of athleticism, a lot of strong and fast players, and a lot of people who are very good.

“I need to be prepared for every game, take care of my body, and stay on my toes every day. “I need to take more pushes but I’m a big guy, I should handle it.”
