Littlehampton Town lose 3-1 at Southall in away defeat

Littlehampton Town lose 3-1 at Southall in away defeat.

Southall began their end-of-season run with three points against Littlehampton at the Skyex Community Stadium, and everyone was happy.

Daniel Roberts opened the scoring in the eighth minute, his 18th goal of the season.

The half was then brought to a close by Anthony O’Connor, who scored three minutes before the break.

Littlehampton looked a little crisper after the half-time team talks, and their confidence eventually paid off in the 78th minute with a goal from replacement Kash Kasukumya. However, the comeback attempt appeared to be a fluke, as Daniel Hector capped a solid performance by the hosts to make it 3-1 in stoppage time.

Southall remains in the play-off positions, as Littlehampton looks over their shoulders at the drop zone.

STAR MAN: Anthony O’Connor (Southall).
